15% (high) Light turb / thermals
Launched cleanly. Stayed level w/ridge and slightly above for several passes, then slowly sank to about 100' below launch. Looked bad but I clung close to the hill and caught a couple of 500 FPM thermals and climbed way up (5,500+?). Stayed up there till others launched and I went for Billboard -> sank out -> 2 wangs on way out. Landed past tire on "bump" at edge of LZ.

Good launch into weak/variable lift @ 2:40 PM (during clear period between two cold fronts). Above and below the ridge top several times. 3 wangs on the way to LM -> no lift there. Good, fast landing -> 10 yds from tire (past/online) @ Pinecrest, 3:20 PM.

Hazy Smooth
First chance to fly in 72 days. Rushed up to Upper Marshall, set up and launched immediately after sunset. Good launch -> actually gained a little altitude. Raced straight to Pinecrest and landed heading N since it was blowing down. Made rectangular approach with diving turns -> came in fast and low to a pretty good landing appx. 20 yards downwind of target (tire) [2024- The streetlights were all on and everything looked like a model town. Still a vivid visual memory.]

Andy Jackson Memorial Fly-In @ Pinecrest Airpark. Too light to soar ridge -> too crowded to work LM effectively. Sank like a rock on final approach -> landed on lee-side slope of the LZ -> Nice landing though.

0% Clear Smooth & steady
Too strong early in the day (30); mellow at 5:30 (15). Good launch in strong lift at 5:55 PM. Stayed on ridge until sunset. Started to flare a little early -> pulled in and pushed back out quickly -> saved landing!! (7:10). Stalled twice for practice -> no problem.

Good launch @ 5:55 PM. Worked ridge for a long time. Sank below ridge @ Billboard; stuck with it and eventually got back above ridge on a series of thermals. Very bumpy on ridge -> had to wrestle w/glider a bit. Headed out @ sunset and made an excellent landing at 7:15 PM.

Good launch, but too weak to get above ridge. Headed to LM. @ about 800' saw a hawk circling below. Rode thermal back up to top of LM! OK landing.

Good launch, scratched around a little on ridge but couldn't get up -> headed for LM. Played a little above Marshall then headed in and landed very well. @6:15 PM

Clear Steady w/thermals
Excallent ridge lift and lots of thermals. Probably over 600' above launch at least. Saw Lake Gregory. Soared ridge for 1:45. Caught many thermals. Longest flight yet. Excellent landing @ 7:12 PM.

Launched into strong flow @ 7:50 PM, strongest I have launched into. Gained at least 400' above launch. Made poor landing in "no wind" at 8:15 PM. Came in a little high.

Thought I could soar ridge, but once in the air I couldn't find any lift. Headed for Lower Marshall, soared there for a long time. Another excellent landing!

Clear Light, smooth
Too light to soar ridge -> headed for lower M. Good lift on Lower Marshall -> vario was very helpful -> squeezed appx. 5 min extra with it. BEST LANDING I have ever made!! Appx. 35 feet from the tire, in LZ. Standing up, no steps, felt no pressure as feet touched ground. No effort holding glider up after flare. Practiced coordinated turns -> felt very good. Dive -> roll -> push-out and hold -> turn > pull-in ->roll back. Probably best flight ever.

Strong (?) ridge lift - cruised at 100+ over launch for 1/2 an hour and learned a lot. Saw Billboard, had fun. Headed home due to late hour. Good landing approach (a little high -> overshot LZ by 100' or so). Flared while too high and had hands too low -> sacrificed downtubes, landed on my feet though. Did a couple of 360's over L. Marshall. First time in ridge lift over Crestline. Wow.
